Photograph before you measure
With the machine switched off and safely isolated, photograph the old screen from both sides. Place a ruler in the same plane as the part. Keep markings and mounting points visible.
Information to include
- Overall length and width, with units shown.
- Thickness, shape or curvature, where safely measurable.
- Hole shape and spacing, plus fixing-hole positions.
- Machine manufacturer, model and readable nameplate.
Do not force a similar-looking screen to fit
